Dark oak manor
Dark oak walls between stone brick pillars, under a steep deepslate brick roof that is a shade lighter than the walls. A birch floor keeps the inside from being too dark, bookshelves line the walls and red glass colours the light.

The blocks
How to build with it
- Mark out 11 × 15 blocks and lay the Birch Planks floor first.
- Put Stone Bricks on every corner and every 4 or 5 blocks along long walls, then fill between them with Dark Oak Planks.
- Roof it with Deepslate Bricks stairs and slabs. Keep the whole build within 18 blocks of height, roof included.
- Give Bookshelf one job, such as a band under the roof or frames around doors and windows, and repeat it.
- Add Red Stained Glass last and use less of it than you think.
Rules for this build
- Everything is symmetrical, except one thing.
- Something sticks up: a chimney, a tower or a spire.
- No flat walls: push or pull something every 3 blocks.
Rules keep a build from turning into a box. Follow all three, or roll others in Blockroll.
